Key Responsibilities
Decontamination: Washing and rinsing used surgical tools by hand or machine to remove blood and tissue.
Inspection and Assembly: Checking tools for damage and organizing them into precise trays using count sheets.
Sterilization: Operating machines like autoclaves to eliminate all harmful microorganisms.
Storage and Distribution: Managing inventory and delivering sterile case carts to the operating room.
